OSHA, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, has developed a number of training, compliance assistance, and health and safety recognition programs since the Occupational Safety & Health Act was signed into law on December 29, 1970.

OSHA’s mission is to “assure safe and healthful working conditions for working men and women by setting and enforcing standards and by providing training, outreach, education and assistance.”

The Occupational Safety and Health Act allows OSHA to issue workplace health and safety regulations. Newton Services Family of Companies, along with our subsidiaries and subdivisions, adheres strictly to OSHA regulations and engages in and maintains all the correct and required training and licensing.

While staffing and placement agencies are not required to provide safety training or provide protective gear to clients, they are required to take part in safety education classes and training. Newton Services Family of Companies takes part in all required safety education.

While the companies that hire our placement candidates are directly responsible for workplace safety regulations and the filing and management of any injury records, Newton Services Family of Companies works with our clients to ensure all OSHA regulations are met in accordance with the law.
